Diversity Ally Award

The 91快活林 School of Medicine Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (ODEI) annually presents the Diversity Ally Award to 91快活林students/graduate students, residents/fellows, staff, faculty, administrators and alumni who exemplify an unwavering commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

A Diversity Ally actively promotes and aspires to advance a culture of inclusion through purposeful, positive and mindful efforts that benefit people or the community.

Diversity Allies exceed everyday expectations, often outshining their own goals and are dedicated to cultivating a diverse and inclusive environment to help create a campus where everyone has an opportunity to excel.

Diversity Allies take action and advocate for other students, staff or faculty, in order to remove external barriers that impede individuals from contributing their skills and talents in the classroom, workplace or community. Such actions include raising awareness, inspiring action, advocating for equitable employment, leading efforts to dismantle discrimination, etc.

Diversity Allies are change agents and epitomize dignity and respect. They work to promote a just and humane campus. Their efforts influence recruitment, retention and campus climate.
